The Shirley Maxi Shirt Dress runs buttons from a small stand collar down to a floor-length hem, with long sleeves that roll and fasten at the elbow and a body cut loose from shoulder to ankle. Leaving the lower buttons undone opens a high slit up one side. There is no waist seam and no belt. In one plain tone it becomes about proportion rather than pattern.

A Column You Can Open Anywhere

Because every button works, the dress adjusts from fully closed to open at the leg to worn completely open as a duster over trousers. The loose body keeps it cool despite the length and the long sleeve. It packs flat, shakes out ready and needs no pressing.
