Pleats Into a Cuffed Ankle

The Patrick Trousers set pleats at the front of the waistband, run the leg full through the thigh, then taper sharply into an elasticated cuff at the ankle.

The pleats put the width where you need to move and the cuff closes the leg where it would otherwise flap over the shoe. The drawstring waist replaces a button and fly.
