A Twist at the Waist

The Cassie Twist Front Maxi Dress gathers the fabric into a knotted twist at the front of the waist, which draws the whole dress in at one point and lets the skirt fall away from it to the ankle. Contrast piping traces the V-neckline and the edge of the short kimono sleeves, outlining the shape in a single fine line. Pockets sit into the side seams. That twist is doing structural work as well as decorative, marking the waist without a seam or a belt.
